Your adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Fes at 8:30 AM. Travel south through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture. Continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see wild Barbary macaques living among ancient trees. After lunch in Midelt or nearby, continue through dramatic mountain landscapes toward the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and breathtaking views. As you descend toward the Sahara region, the scenery becomes more desert-like and golden. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where your camel or 4×4 transfer awaits.
