Your 4 days desert tour from Fes begins with pickup from your accommodation at around 8:30 AM. From there, travel south through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains toward Ifrane, a peaceful mountain town known for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. Continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques among the ancient trees. After a lunch stop near Midelt, the landscape gradually changes as you travel toward the spectacular Ziz Valley. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire its vast palm groves before continuing through Erfoud toward Merzouga. By late afternoon, the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. Ride a camel across the dunes or choose a comfortable 4×4 transfer to your desert camp. Today is dedicated to discovering the landscapes, culture, and communities surrounding Merzouga. Set out by 4×4 along the desert tracks, crossing rocky plains and stopping at panoramic viewpoints around the dunes. Depending on local conditions and availability, you may visit a nomadic family, share a glass of mint tea, and learn about everyday life in the Sahara. Continue to Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa musical traditions, where you can listen to local musicians and experience part of the region’s cultural heritage. Along the way, explore different desert landscapes, fossil-rich areas, and peaceful surroundings away from the main roads. In the afternoon, return toward Merzouga for free time. Optional quad biking or dune buggy activities can also be arranged before dinner and your second night in the Merzouga area.

Here, towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of the narrow canyon, reaching around 300 meters in places. Enjoy time to walk beneath the cliffs, follow the river, and take in the impressive scenery before continuing after lunch. The journey then leads toward the Dades Valley through traditional villages, green oases, old kasbahs, and remarkable rock formations. Walk through its narrow passages, discover its traditional earthen architecture, and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding valley. Afterwards, continue toward the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, following winding roads through traditional villages and dramatic scenery. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at approximately 2,260 meters above sea level, with stops at panoramic viewpoints along the way. By late afternoon or early evening, arrive in Marrakech, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel, riad, or Marrakech Menara Airport.
